Line Type Arrester
The line type arrester is used for 6~220kV AC power transmission and transformation lines to limit line lightning overvoltage and improve line lightning withstand level. It is a new type of arrester specially designed to reduce the tripping rate caused by lightning strike fault in the system and suspended on transmission towers.
1. Reasonable design, novel structure, reliable technical performance, compact shape, light weight, flexible installation, high tensile strength, collision resistance, and no damage during transportation;
2. The advantages of silicon rubber sheathed metal oxide arrester are cited. The overall molding is one-time forming, with good sealing, pollution resistance, explosion-proof, moisture-proof performance, high dielectric strength, good heat dissipation performance, and large overvoltage energy absorption capacity.
The basic structure of line arrester is mainly gapless and outer string gap, among which the outer string gap is divided into insulation support gap and pure air gap. The insulation coordination or use effect has proved that the line arrester with and without gaps can effectively prevent insulator string flashover accidents;
The line arrester can be divided into porcelain sheathed line arrester and synthetic sheathed line arrester according to the sheath material;
According to the voltage level, it can be divided into distribution line arrester and transmission line arrester;
According to functions, it can be divided into line arresters mainly used to limit lightning overvoltage, line arresters mainly used to limit switching overvoltage, or line arresters both used to limit lightning overvoltage and switching overvoltage.
