Lightning arreste
Lightning arrester: an electrical apparatus used to protect electrical equipment from high transient overvoltages during lightning strikes and to limit the duration and often the amplitude of the renewal current. Lightning arresters are sometimes also called overvoltage protectors and overvoltage limiters.
The AC gapless metal oxide lightning arrester has excellent non-linear volt-ampere characteristics, good response characteristics, no renewal current, large through-current capacity, low residual voltage, strong overvoltage suppression capability, dirt resistance, anti-ageing, not bound by altitude, simple structure, no gap, tight sealing, long life, etc.
This arrester in the normal system working voltage, showing high resistance state, only microampere current through. Under the action of over-voltage high current it presents low resistance, thus limiting the residual voltage at both ends of the arrester
